freetools.me exists because everyday file tasks became unreasonably complicated. Resizing an image, counting words or tidying a JSON blob shouldn't need an installer, an account or a subscription.

What we're building

A single, calm place with 47 focused tools across five categories: images, video, audio, documents and PDFs. Each tool does one thing, explains itself in a sentence, and gets out of the way.

How it works

Every tool runs entirely on your device — your files never travel to a server. Images and text use the browser's own APIs, audio uses the Web Audio engine, PDFs are edited and rendered locally, and video is handled by a WebAssembly build of ffmpeg that loads into the page on first use. Nothing is uploaded, so nothing can be stored, logged or leaked.

What's next

The tool collection is data-driven, so new tools appear without redesigning anything. If a tool you need is missing, tell us and it can usually be added in an afternoon.
